Evidence shows that women are less self-assured than men-and that to succeed confidence matters as much as competence. Published in The Atlantic, this is an overview of the “The Confidence Code: The Science and Art of Self-Assurance-What Women Should Know” written by Katty Kay, the anchor of BBC World News America and Claire Shipman, a reporter for ABC News. The article speaks to the confidence gap between men and women in the workplace and how being confident is just as important as being competent.
